A young migrant, most likely from Afghanistan, was killed in the night from Wednesday to Thursday on the street in Timisoara. The man was stabbed in the heart, and the assailant immediately fled the scene, the police are looking for him.

The crime took place on Caprioarei Street in the Fabryk district of Timisoara. A passer-by saw the young migrant fall to the ground and called 112. Emergency doctors failed to save the 28-year-old man’s life, he was declared dead.

According to the first reports, the young man was killed by three stab wounds. He was probably an Afghan national and the attacker was also a national.

The police are trying to track down the criminal. They immediately detained two migrants, probably witnesses of the bloody attack.

Residents of the area say that several Asian citizens live in one of the buildings on Caprioarei Street.

In April 2021, another bloody crime between migrants took place in Timisoara. Then two groups of defectors fought in the street, one migrant was fatally stabbed, the other was seriously injured. The perpetrator of the crime, a citizen of Afghanistan, was arrested two months later in Greece, in Athens.
