In mid-January, the Accounting Chamber published reports based on the results of inspections conducted in several sectoral city halls of the capital, aimed at activities related to 2022. Thus, the town halls of sectors 2, 3, 4 and 6 were under control, the town halls headed by the USR mayor (Sector 2), the other two were headed by the PSD mayors (3 and 4) and one by the PNL mayor (6). Auditors of the Court found violations in all four searches of city halls.

Regarding control in the city hall of sector 2, the Accounting Chamber indicates that at the level of this institution, an applied/integrated accounting program is not used to allocate in accounting all the data and information necessary for centralized reporting on the financial situation, “so that the entry of financial data for subordinate state institutions in order to centralize them in financial reporting, it is mostly done manually.”
