A group of AUR parliamentarians led by George Simion protested at the doors of the PSD parliament with pieces of paper with messages such as: “PSD and PNL endanger democracy”, “Marseille for us is the son of a dictator”, “Cholaku”. and PSD, destroyers of democracy and the rule of law”, “PSD and PNL endanger democracy”, “PSD and PNL restore dictatorship step by step”.

The AUR accuses the PSD that combining the elections would violate “the right of Romanians to vote freely” and claims that such a measure would be “the only salvation for the PSD and the PNL to avoid the anger of the Romanians, while Colacu and the PSD are a danger to democracy.”

AUR leader George Simion asked the interim president of the Chamber of Deputies, Alfred Simonis, what the PSD was going to do about the elections: “You led the country through fear.”

Alfred Simonis replied to George Simion that he was not at the stadium: “I did not come to your group. In my group, I say what I want, I don’t create your agenda.”

“We are not afraid, we are defending the Constitution,” Simion told him.
