Sorana Kirstea, 25th place in the new WTA ranking

Sorana Kirstya suffered a surprise loss to Yafan Wang in the first round of the Australian Open (she was leading 6-0, 3-0), but will move up two positions in the new WTA rankings.

Ana Bohdan, Jacqueline Christian (eliminated in the first round), Iryna Begu and Gabriela Ruse (did not participate in AO 24) will drop several positions.

Iryna Bara, Miriam Bulgaru and Andrea Mitu qualified, but only the former made it to the second round and jumped 7 places.
