Prime Minister Marcel Cholaku said on Saturday after visiting the Bihor District Emergency Hospital that he understood the fact that the state reform had been waiting for 35 years, but “instead of assuming that the reform will be completed in an election year, the budget system will not can do it.” “If you ask me to do something that has not been done for 30 years, according to a single system, to say – from now on everyone has to throw away 10% of the health care system, I am not going to do it. ,” he said.
“I understand the expectations and respect them because they are justified. I also understand that this reform has been awaited for 35 years. I can do no more than assume that in the election year I will complete the reform of the budget system. If you ask me to do something that has not been done for 30 years, under a single system, let’s say from now on everyone has to throw away 10% of the health care system (…) I will not do it,” the head of the executive said on Saturday of the authorities, Marcel Čolaku, reports News.ro.
He stated that “sometimes haste can destroy good intentions and commitment.”
“At the moment, there are about three ministries that have created an organizational system within the ministry, then departments and all subordinate companies. I spoke with Mr. Grindyanu, he has 53 separate entities, customers of third-level loans,” he said.
“I will see to the end, I understand the expectations, but you can even throw stones at whoever suggested this, and in an election year, let’s say after 6 quite difficult months, considering only if I’m talking about the budget deficit… I did everything in time, I will fulfill what I promised,” said Cholaku.
