Judges in Brasov on Saturday night issued a pretrial arrest warrant for a 25-year-old suspect of murdering his father, transporting his body from Brasov to Arges county and leaving it where the victim’s hand was found. , in December, on a wasteland with traces of animal bites. The suspect did not appeal the decision, News.ro reports.

Prosecutors from Brasov, who took over the case from the prosecutor’s office from Arges, say that the victim’s death occurred on November 18-19, 2023 and was violent.

“We suspect that the action was aggressive, with the use of MMA-type procedures, as the son practiced or is practicing this sport. We are going to clarify these elements. MMA-type actions include strangulation, but at the moment, without a lot of data, it’s a suspicion,” Adrian Radu, Paket’s chief prosecutor at the Brasov court, said on Saturday.

The prosecutor explained that the identity of the author “revealed with greater credibility” on Friday, when the suspect was detained. The man’s body was not found, his clothes were found in a ravine two kilometers from the place where the deceased’s right hand was found in December. The victim was identified by fingerprints because he was in the authorities’ database because he had a criminal record.

The prosecutor also says that new investigative actions will be carried out on the ground, considering that on Friday information appeared about the place where the lifeless body of the deceased was taken.

“At the moment we have no signs that he was dismembered, what was found in the victim’s body indicates the actions of wild animals, not dismemberment,” said prosecutor Adrian Radu.

It will be recalled that in December, the police announced that the remains of a human hand were found in the uninhabited area of Dragoslavele in Argesh county, with traces of animal bites. The police opened an investigation and established that he is a 53-year-old man from Bucharest who has a criminal record.
