The management of the Barlad Municipal Hospital announces that it has ordered an internal investigation after two medical staff were caught on camera talking suddenly and badly to an elderly man who arrived as an emergency and who was unable to stand, News reports .ro. The two members of staff who appear in the images broadcast to the public, a porter and a nurse, will be required to provide written explanations of their behavior towards an immobile patient before the Disciplinary Committee.

In pictures published by stiriest.ro, two medical workers can be seen dragging an old man who cannot stand on his feet and trying to put him on a bed.

They seem to be losing their minds as the old man seems to be almost on his knees heading for a different bed than where they wanted to put him.

“Oh, what a circus! Come on, come!”, says the woman.

And the hospital worker, apparently dissatisfied with the effort he has to make, adds: “Well, I would put my feet in! You are…!”.

The management of the medical unit ordered internal checks after the images appeared in the open space, clarifying that two employees work in emergency situations.

“Following the appearance in the public space on January 25, 2024 of an audio-video recording in which two employees of the emergency department (a porter and a nurse) violently mobilize an elderly patient, associated with obscene language, the management reported itself and launched an internal investigation to analyze the situation . Explanatory notes were withdrawn from two employees and it was decided to initiate a disciplinary case, the meeting of the Disciplinary Commission will be held on February 2, 2024,” the hospital reported.

They also specified that “such behavior is not tolerated by the management of the institution and the necessary legal measures will be taken.”

“Pending the completion of the disciplinary investigation, the two workers will be closely monitored by the assistant shift supervisor throughout their activities,” Barlad Municipal Hospital management also said.
