According to the boarding pass, the pilots of the Boeing 737-700NG Luxair (LX-LBR), Bucharest-Luxembourg, decided on Thursday evening to return to Otopeni airport ten minutes after take-off due to a technical problem.

One of the plane’s pilots told air traffic controllers that one of the plane’s generators and the auxiliary power unit (APU) had failed.

The pilots did not declare an emergency and landed safely on runway 26R of the Henri Coanda (Otopeni) Airport in Bucharest at 22:18 local time.

The Luxair flight between Bucharest and Luxembourg was later cancelled
