A new joint video released by the Ukrainian armed forces captures the horrific carnage suffered by a Russian assault platoon attempting to advance northwest of the city of Avdiyivka in the Donetsk region, a new target for Moscow forces.
The video, shot by drone operators of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, shows how Russian soldiers attacking in the direction of the village of Stepove, approximately 12 kilometers northwest of Avdiyivka, were met by Bradley armored vehicles, which opened devastating fire on them. .
But the most dramatic moments of the footage show how some of the Russian soldiers are hit by kamikaze drones, and Ukrainian forces film the entire unsuccessful assault from a drone. CAREFULLY! Images with a strong emotional impact:
Jeden Day Russland sends 10-20 Soldaten über die Schienen, nördlich von Awdijiwka, nach Stepove und jeden Day kommt es unter diesen Soldaten zu 70-100 % Verlust durch ukrainische Abwehrbemühungen.pic.twitter.com/s6ROZX5rFr

The footage was independently geolocated because it was filmed near Stepovoy, the town near which the Russian army is suspected of committing a war crime last December:

The Russian army continues its assault on Avdiivka
The 47th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces released a new video just a day after the mayor of Avdiyivka said that Russian troops had for the first time entered the city, which has become the epicenter of fighting in eastern Ukraine in recent months.
“Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups entered the southern part of Avdiyivka, but were repulsed,” said Vitaly Barabach, calling the situation “complicated, but controlled.” “Now they are no longer there, the Ukrainian army pushed them out and regained their positions,” he assured, but added that “the enemy continues to advance.”
Vitaly Barabach confirmed that this was the “first” invasion of Russian troops into this industrial city of the Donetsk region. But he did not specify when it happened and how long it lasted. For months, Russian troops have been trying to surround Avdiivka, where Ukrainian troops are stationed in fortified positions.
The city has become a new “meat grinder” for the Russian military, in recent months several videos have appeared on social networks showing the heavy losses suffered by the invading forces during the storming of the city.
One such recording, made public in December by Ukrainian forces, recorded the bodies of almost 100 Russian soldiers on one section of the front in Avdiivka. Another, from November, showed how Russian soldiers on this part of the front struggle in dramatic conditions for survival under the fire of Ukrainian troops.
