
A 49-year-old woman and her two little girls, aged 6 and 13, from Morteni in the Dambovitsa county, were found dead in their home on Thursday after suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning.
Dâmboviţa County Ambulance Service (SAJ) teams and firefighters from the Găesti unit intervened in Morteni, where three people were found dead in their house.
Director of SAJ Dâmboviţa, Mykhailo Gheorghe, told News.ro that the victims are a woman and her daughters aged 6 and 13, respectively. According to him, most likely, the woman and the girls were poisoned by carbon monoxide from the stove.
“Today, January 25, a man informed the police in Geshta that his neighbors had died in a house in Morten. After arriving at the scene, the police identified the 49-year-old woman and her daughters. Upon superficial inspection, there were no visible signs of violence on them. The corpses will be taken by the forensic medical service for an autopsy,” IPJ Dâmboviţa said.
