Girona’s struggle in the Spanish Cup ended on Wednesday evening.

Michel’s team lost a dispute in the quarters with Mallorca at the end of a modest performance by the visitors.

Mallorca scored three times in 14 minutes, through Larin (min. 21) and Prats (min. 28 and min. 35), and a comeback was impossible for the guests.

After the home team went behind in numbers (Raileau, min. 68), Stuani reduced the gap in the 68th minute with a shot from 11 meters. The final result was established by Savio, scoring in the sixth minute of extra time.

Real Sociedad also reached the semi-finals of the Spanish Cup, beating Celta Vigo 2-1.
