Palestine defeated Hong Kong 3-0 in the third group stage of the Asian Cup in Qatar on Tuesday.
For the Palestinians, it was the first victory in the competition and the team’s first qualification for the 1/8 finals of the Asian Nations Cup.
After losing 4-1 to Iran, Palestine drew 1-1 with the United Arab Emirates in their opener.
Oday Dabbagh and Zeid Kunbar scored twice for Palestine on Tuesday.
The convincing victory, the first in three appearances at the Asian Cup, saw the Palestinians finish third in Group C.
