Cornel Diniku, the owner of Ferma Dacilor, has been in pretrial detention since the beginning of the year. Last week, the mayor of the city of Hura Vadului Marius Sora, as well as the former mayor of the city Kostyantyn Lungu and an employee of the city hall, who deals with issues of urban planning, were brought to a hearing in the investigation, in which the Prosecutor’s Office establishes the causes and circumstances of the fire, as a result of which 8 people died.

On Friday, the Ploiesti court issued a warrant for preventive arrest on behalf of an employee of the Town Planning Service of the City Hall, Hura Vadului. Prosecutors’ documents released to the press also include a statement from a receptionist at Ferma Dacilor, in which she indicated how those who were in the building engulfed in flames on the morning of December 26, 2023, were accommodated.
