Hungary, which advocates for Ukraine to make peace with Russia, is starting military training for civil servants on a voluntary basis, Hungarian National Defense Minister Kristof Salai-Bobrovnytskyi announced Monday in a video posted on his Facebook page.
The Hungarian official says that in emergency situations of the past, it was possible to observe that the successful implementation of defense capabilities and tasks does not depend only on the military. That is why Hungary has decided to offer civil servants who work in various areas of public administration and wish to have the opportunity to voluntarily participate in training in the field of national defense, reports the Hungarian press agency MTI, citing News .ro.
According to Salai-Bobrovnytskyi, many people responded to the invitation.
The minister congratulated the civil servants who volunteered to do this. The first 90 participants will already begin training in the field of national defense.
The Minister of Defense thanked them for their commitment to participate in this special and new training, which allows them to “serve to strengthen the security and defense capabilities of Hungary.”
“Peace requires strength. We continue to work,” said Salai-Bobrovnytskyi.
“Those who signed up for the adaptive defense program set an example of shared responsibility to participate in the defense of our homeland,” the Hungarian minister wrote on Facebook.
