The prefect of the capital, Rares Hopincha, claims that the organizers of the transporters’ and farmers’ protest on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at Constitution Square had until Saturday, at 4:00 p.m., to announce the number of cars that would take part in the demonstration. From the submitted list, it appears that only one tractor head will participate, according to Rareș Hopincă’s statements made by Digi24.

“We need to clarify the following: today by 4:00 p.m., the organizer had to inform the state institutions of the registration numbers of participating vehicles, the names of drivers and phone numbers. Such a list was sent and it contains, I repeat, until 16:00: a tractor head,” said Raresh Hopincha.

When asked what this means, the Prefect of the Capital said that “there will probably be several cars.”

“This means that in the center of the capital, on Constitution Square, we will most likely not have an influx of cars, there will probably be a few cars and a few small cars on the already established route. We do not expect this demonstration to significantly disrupt traffic in Bucharest,” said the prefect.

According to the law, “only this vehicle could participate in the protest. They reported only one tractor-trailer,” explained Raresh Gopincha.

The protest action of farmers and transporters planned for Sunday will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., the capital city hall reported.
