Minister of State Finance Marcel Bolosh says that the “strategic goal of negotiations” of the National Health Insurance Fund in discussions with family doctors is to keep the price of medical services at last year’s level.

“Today I had a discussion with the president of the House of Health, and we agreed on some measures that will not affect family doctors. There are 9,980 family doctors who provide medical services to millions of citizens. Our duty is to find a solution so that family doctors have the best conditions. As far as I understood from the president of the House of Health, the medical center and the cost of the medical service will be kept at the level of 2023. Now I don’t know how the discussions will end, because it’s a negotiation process that you have with family doctors, but as a strategic goal of the negotiations it was set,” said Marcel Bolosh on Wednesday evening at Digi 24, News.ro reports.

He is “convinced that the negotiations will end well.”

Bolos said that the money should be used “in the interests of the people” and that family doctors should do their work in the best possible conditions.

The Minister of Finance recalled that in 2023, the initial budget of CNAS was 52 billion lei, and at the end of the year, budget allocations reached 59 billion lei. For 2024, more than 62 billion lei have been allocated to the CNAS budget.
