In his usual evening video address to his compatriots, he said that in the afternoon he had a meeting with the main people responsible for the fate of the war with Russia. “There was a strategic level of discussion – our actions this year. And not only defensive ones. Ukraine needs an ambitious, active perspective. We want our country to take the initiative, not the enemy. We must make sure that the end of the war depends on our actions. The world supports those who have perspective. And this fundamental task is to preserve the initiative so that we become stronger,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, as if making it clear that Kyiv will launch new offensive operations, most likely against strategic objects on the territory of Russia.

According to him, he had a separate meeting with the Minister of Defense, which discussed the new mobilization of reservists. “We are preparing more forces for our country,” Zelensky said.

Another meeting was with representatives of law enforcement agencies and the head of the SBU. “The main report concerned the fight against collaborators and the destruction of the material and technical support of the enemy. I am grateful to the Service for the results achieved,” Zelenskyy noted, as the SBU has carried out several brazen attacks on Russian territory.

Zelenskyi, who was in Switzerland on Monday and Tuesday, participating in the Davos Forum, said that he had many good and useful meetings there with officials from Europe, America, Africa, and Asia, and communicated not only with politicians, but also with business leaders. . “Today, government officials continued their work at the Forum, in particular, to attract more business and technology opportunities to Ukraine – in the defense sector. It is very important to present not only the needs of Ukraine and our soldiers, the entire society, but also, despite all the difficulties of the war, to present the possibilities of Ukraine – what we are doing, what we can do to strengthen it. common security in Europe,” Zelenskyi said.

He also mentioned the latest press scandal in Ukraine, when a well-known investigative journalist who criticized the president was attacked by unknown persons at home. “The Security Service of Ukraine has started an investigation and is investigating all the circumstances. Any pressure on journalists is unacceptable,” Zelensky assured.
