National Culture Day, a holiday initiated and proposed to the Romanian Parliament in 2010 by the Romanian Academy, was established as a holiday with national status on the anniversary of the poet Mihai Eminescu. In the context of this day, numerous events and artistic manifestations take place, from concerts and theater performances to exhibitions and conferences.

The Romanian Academy, in cooperation with the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, is organizing a joint festive session dedicated to the Day of National Culture on Monday. The event will be held simultaneously in the Hall of the Romanian Academy and in the Azure Hall of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, in a hybrid format, starting at 11.00. The session will be opened by the speeches of two presidents of academic forums. Ioan-Aurel Pop and Acad. Ion Tiginianu.

The opening of the exhibition “Anton Pann – Povestea vorbei” followed by a concert by the “Anton Pann” Early Music Chamber Ensemble will take place in the “Theodor Pallady” hall at Calea Victoriei 125, starting at 1:00 p.m.
