At the age of 22 and former world number 21, Anisimova won in two sets, 6-3, 6-4. The match lasted one hour and 26 minutes.
Amanda Anisimova, who was coached by Darren Cahill in the past, will beat the winner of the match between Nadia Podoroska (63 WTA) and Tamara Zidansek (99 WTA) in the second round.
