Ronnie O’Sullivan secured an emotionless qualification for The Masters snooker final after beating world number six Shaun Murphy of Great Britain 6-2.

Saturday’s match got off to a great start for Ronnie O’Sullivan, who led the match from end to end without giving his opponent many chances.

Murphy managed to win two frames, but the world leader decided the fate of the match in two and a half hours.

Ronnie will face the winner of Ali Carter and Mark Allen in Sunday’s final.

  • In the quarter-finals and semi-finals, the system of the best of 11 frames is played, i.e. from the first to the sixth.
  • In the grand final, the best of 19 frames will be played, i.e. the first to 10.
  • The semi-finals will be held on January 13 and the final on January 14 at Alexandra Palace in London.
  • The total prize money is £725,000.
  • The winner will receive a prize of £250,000, while the runner-up will receive £100,000.
  • The maximum break was made at The Masters (147): Ding Junhui against Ronnie O’Sullivan.
  • The reigning champion is Judd Trump, a title won at the 2023 tournament.

The Masters takes place from January 7 to 14, and there were 16 players at the start. The tournament is held at Alexandra Palace in London and offers a total prize pool of £725,000 (£250,000 to the winner). Judd Trump (2023) became the titular champion.
