Olena Rybakina (favorite 1) and Jessica Pegula (2) reached the quarterfinals of the WTA 500 tournament in Adelaide (Australia) on Wednesday.

Rybakina (3 WTA) continues her excellent course and remains unbeaten in 2024. Olena defeated the Iberian Kristina Bucha (61 WTA / born in Chisinau), score 6-3, 7-5. The match lasted one and a half hours.

The Brisbane champion will play the winner of the match between Russia’s Kateryna Alexandrova (21 WTA) and Veronika Kudermetova (16 WTA / favorite 8) for a place in the semi-finals.

After matches at the United Cup (one win and one loss), the American Pegula (5 WTA) barely won against her compatriot Bernarda Pera (69 WTA).

Jessica won 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, and in the next round she will meet Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (59 WTA).
