Eight people were involved in a traffic accident on the A1, at the 245th km, in the direction of Sibiu – Sebes, the Red intervention plan was activated, the Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISU) of Sibiu announced, reports Agerpres. According to the first information, five people were injured.

“ISU Sibiu urgently intervenes on the A1 km 245 in a traffic accident in the direction of Sibiu-Sebes. Two SMURD crews, one with a doctor, an evacuation vehicle, a fire extinguisher, ATPVM and an SAJ ambulance were mobilized to the scene. According to the first information, it was about 3 cars and 8 people. “The ‘red intervention plan’ has been activated,” Sibiu ISU spokesperson Andrea Stefan said.

According to her, the SMURD helicopter was also invited to the place. In addition, the intervention force was supplemented by three more ambulances of the county ambulance service and a minibus with two more doctors from the reception point.

According to the police, two vans and a TIR were involved in the accident, traffic is blocked on the A1, km 245, exits in the direction of Paltinis and Medias in the direction of Sibiu – Sebes.

The Infotraffic Center reported that 5 people were injured as a result of the attack, and they are undergoing medical examination.

Traffic is stopped on all lanes in the direction of Sibiu-Sebes.

Traffic is expected to resume after 09:00.
