President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in his daily address to Ukrainians on Sunday, on the eve of the New Year, thanked all the soldiers and those thanks to whom Ukraine is enduring large-scale Russian aggression for the second year in a row. Zelenskyy announced that he had signed 700 decrees honoring the soldiers and specified that he had awarded five titles “Hero of Ukraine”, four of which are named in honor of soldiers of military intelligence (GUR), whose tasks are not disclosed.

“December 31 is the second year of total war, of our resistance,” Volodymyr Zelenskyi began his speech, News.ro reports.

He said that another “Golden Star” of the Hero of Ukraine was awarded to a soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Junior Sergeant Ihor Tymoshchuk. “I personally presented him with the award during a trip to Avdiivka. He is a very strong guy. A strong commander. One of those who really inspires,” said Zelensky, who was on the front lines on Friday.

“Thank you, guys, to each of you! Behind these differences are names that speak for themselves, and courage that is more eloquent the fewer words you add.
