A 17-year-old teenager is suspected of murdering his 86-year-old grandmother, an old woman found dead on Friday in a house in Bucharest.

On Friday, the Metropolitan Police reported in a press release that a woman reported to the 8th Police Department at 112 that a dead person was found at an address in Sector 2. At the scene, the police found an 86-year-old woman who died.

The quoted source clarified that the case was handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Bucharest Court together with the Homicide Service.

Judicial sources told News.ro that the suspect was the victim’s nephew, a teenager who was caught and brought to trial.

According to sources cited by stirileprotv, a 17-year-old boy from Bucharest was in an institution and went to his grandmother to ask for money. The same sources report that the boy was under the influence of drugs.

The old woman was found dead by her daughter, the boy’s mother, who called 112.
