Rabla 2024 and Rabla Plus 2024 have seen major changes compared to previous years’ versions of Rabla and Rabla Plus. The first news: the eco-bonus for electric cars is reduced to 10,000 lei (from 51,000 lei in 2023). It’s just that after long discussions, the government reached another option: a 25,500 lei environmental bonus for electric cars in 2024, according to government sources consulted by 0-100.ro.
Specifically, the final version reached by the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Environment and the entire Romanian government for Rabla 2024 and Rabla Plus 2024 is the following, according to government sources consulted by 0-100.ro:
- 7000 lei cancellation bonus through the Rabla Clasic program. Multiple tickets/raibles cannot be combined. Thus, there is only one financial incentive left to buy a car with an internal combustion engine, and it costs 7,000 lei. At the same time, smaller bonuses for cars with low emission values are canceled. There is only one overall ceiling/threshold and anything below that becomes eligible via Rabla Classic. Any car that exceeds this emission limit (limit limit yet to be announced) cannot be eligible through the Rabla Classic.
- 25,500 lei will be the Rabla Plus eco-bonus for the purchase of an electric car. That is, half as much as before (51,000 lei).
