What could have been a simple fight on the streets of Paris turned into a tragedy: an argument between a passenger on an electric scooter and a pedestrian in the 14th arrondissement of the French capital got out of control on Tuesday evening.

The scooter user deliberately hit the pedestrian but died in the collision, a police source told Le Figaro.

Despite the quick arrival of rescuers, the man on the scooter died in less than an hour.

The driver of the two-wheeler lost consciousness after the collision with the pedestrian, and there were traces of blood on his head and on the floor at the scene of the accident.

According to the same source, the pedestrian suffered an ankle injury and was taken to hospital, adding that alcohol and drug tests came back negative. (News.ro)
