
A sailor of Georgian origin who was aboard a vessel located in the Black Sea about 60 nautical miles from the resort of Olympus is being sought after he was reported missing by port authorities on Tuesday.
The Romanian Naval Administration (ANR) announced on Tuesday evening through a press release that a sailor of Georgian origin is wanted after the crew of the vessel he was on sent an alert to the Service that day at 15:17 MRCC. as part of the Romanian Naval Administration.
“The Vanuatu-flagged ship is 60 nautical miles from Olympus and has managed to contact the nearby GSP Centaurus to report a man overboard incident. However, after more than an hour and a half of searching, the sailor was not found,” the message reads.
