
UEFA has announced that Istvan Kovac will referee FC Porto’s match between FC Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday at 22:00 in Group H of the Champions League.

Assistants Vasile Marinescu and Ovidiu Artene will assist Kovac in the match at Dragao Stadium. Marcel Birsan was appointed as the fourth arbitrator.
Italian Massimiliano Irrati was delegated as the video referee, and Katalin Popa will be the assistant video referee.
Barcelona have already qualified for the Round of 16, while Porto need a draw to advance (they won the first leg 3-1). If Dragao does not win, Shakhtar will finish in 3rd place and continue in the Europa League.
This will be István Kovac’s fourth match officiating in the current Champions League season, following Newcastle v PSG 4-1, Arsenal v Sevilla 2-0 and AC Milan v Borussia Dortmund 1-3.
