PNL First Vice President Dan Motreanu said on Friday that he thinks PNL today looks like a mediocre student facing a very tough exam. “We have a choice: hit the ball on the field or rest our stomachs on the book,” Motreanu said. He also said that the PNL is the only party that has a career president, Nicolae Chuke, while George Simeon has never worked in his life and “Mr. Cholaku also has some gaps in his resume.”

“The National Liberal Party must come, on the one hand, with a list of people who you, the local electors, expect and approve of, and for whom you are prepared to fight in this campaign, and on the other hand, they must come with a political program that shows what Europe means to Romania, and also what Romania means to Europe. If each of us wants to participate and should participate, wants to be involved in politics, wants to highlight the good sides of the government that we adopted in the last three years, in all the crises and of course there were things that I could not do, but there were many good things more than the things I failed at. If each of us will participate in this campaign and fight politically, I sincerely tell you that we have a chance to win this election today,” said Dan Motreanu.

“Today we have a political vote of about 20 percent, which is a political vote to which we can add an organizational vote. And we can grow because we have all the structures, we have everything we need to win this battle,” said the first vice president of PNL.

Motreanu clarified that the PNL is “the only party that has a career president of a party that is not talked about”.

“We have Nicolae Chuke, a man who has served Romania all his life, and other party presidents about whom we know nothing, George Simion, who has never worked in his life and had no employment record, Mr. Colaca, whom he also has some gaps in his resume. It is an advantage that the National Liberal Party can demonstrate that it is a serious party, a party that can really guarantee Romania’s sovereignty,” Motreanu added.

“The National Liberal Party today, from my point of view, looks like a mediocre student facing a very difficult exam. We have 6 months left and we have a choice, sorry for the plastic comparison, to hit the ball on the field or to rest our stomachs on a book. I think it depends only on our will and only on our participation,” Motreanu said
