The ranking was compiled by Sportico, and the cited source mentions that the American collected $6.7 million from tennis prizes and $16 million from her various sponsors.

Speaking of sponsors, Gauff has current contracts with big names like New Balance (provides him with sports equipment), Head (plays racket), Barilla, Bose, UPS and Rolex.

Only the victory at the first Grand Slam tournament in his career (at the US Open) brought Gauff 3 million dollars.

As a reminder, the 19-year-old player will finish the 2023 sports year in 3rd place in the WTA ranking.

The second place in the hierarchy of the most highly paid female athletes this year is occupied by the player Iga Svyatek. In 2023, Poland collected 21.9 million dollars.

Svyatek collected almost 10 million dollars from tennis prizes, the rest from sponsors: Infosys, Visa, PZU, Rolex and Porsche Poland.

Finally, the last place on the podium is taken by Eileen Gu. The American freestyle skier in 2023 collected 20 million euros.

It is interesting that 9 tennis players made it into the TOP-15.

Gymnast Simone Biles is in ninth position.
