The action of the prosecutor’s office was launched after a journalistic investigation in which both Theodosier and Petre discuss a “commission” of 20% of the sum of 800,000 lei, which will come from the State Secretariat for Cult Affairs. The conversation was recorded on a hidden camera and posted on the investigative platform Registrar. “This is not surveillance. Some checks are done. No evidence, no follow up. I don’t know that. I don’t care what it is. I know I don’t have any problem,” IPS Theodosius said, contradicting a DNA claim that shows he and priest Ilye are suspects in the case.
