At 33, Wozniacki surprised many when she announced her return to competitive tennis after giving birth twice.
The Dane won the first match in Montreal (6-2, 6-2 against Kimberly Birrell), and then reached the 1/8 finals of the US Open (she was defeated in three sets by Coco Gauf, who also won the competition).
Caroline is currently training hard for the new WTA season, in which she wants to achieve her best results.
Australian Open organizers announced on Wednesday that the former 2018 trophy winner will receive a wildcard into the main draw in Melbourne.
The 2024 Australian Open, in its 112th edition, will be held from January 14 to 28 at Marlbourne Park.
