Romania captain Nicolae Stanciu spoke after the Euro 2024 group draw and said he wants the tricolors to go through the group stage.
“They’re pretty strong teams, but they’re not the strongest teams we could lose to. At the start of the draw I wanted us to have a group with Portugal and Italy, we’ve never played them.
We are aware of where we are, we are aware that the strength of the group has allowed us to qualify, from first place in the group, and we want a lot more. We want to go through the group stage” – announced Nikolay Stanchureports FRF.
