Germany won their first Under-17 World Cup title after defeating France in the final at the Manahan Stadium in Surakarta, Indonesia.
The Germans opened the scoring in the 29th minute thanks to the forward of Borussia Dortmund, Paris Brunner, who executed a shot from 11 meters.
In the 51st minute, Noah Darwich (Barcelona) doubled the advantage, but two minutes later France reduced the difference thanks to Simon Boubre.
Although Germany dominated in the 69th minute, after Osawe was sent off, the French managed to equalize through Amuga (85th minute), but not to wrap up the game after 90 minutes.
A penalty shoot-out followed, with the Christian Wouk-coached side conceding two penalties and the French conceding three.
