Mircea Fecet, the Minister of the Environment, said on Wednesday that we will not see the shelves filled with SGR packaging from tomorrow, and in the first month, that is December, it is expected that 2% of the packaging will be on the market, and by July 1 the whole shelf the store will be exclusively with SGR packaging.

“From tomorrow, we will not see shelves filled with SGR packaging,” the environment minister said on Prima News’ România Politică show, stating that ordinary bottles without this logo are not included in this program.

He noted that he had heard that citizens were collecting containers and PET on the balcony. “The machines are calibrated and programmed to check the unique bar code and return guarantee system logo to ensure that when they issue a citizen guarantee of 50 money, that guarantee has been paid for the corresponding PET,” he added.

The minister also noted that in case of non-payment of the package guarantee, the ReturRo company will have nowhere to pay the guarantee.
