At the venue of the Supernova festival, the site of the unspeakable massacre by Hamas on the first day of the attack on Israel, music is playing again, but this time for the dead, Reuters reports.

Thousands of young people were partying here when a Palestinian terrorist organization launched a surprise attack on Israel in the early hours of October 7. Survivors said that many festival goers initially mistook the shooting by Hamas fighters for the bass of electronic music.

But now, in front of the 5 Israeli DJs who took to the stage set up here, there are only posters with photos of the dead hanging.

“It’s amazing to see all these people, all these images, these pictures of people who died here,” said Yahel Ironi, an 18-year-old girl who survived the massacre after hiding in a nearby bomb shelter.

“These people danced with me and did not survive,” he added.

The event, which took place on Tuesday, was called “Setting for Angels” by the organizers.

The massacre at the Supernova music festival shocked Israel and the international community

But Asher Swissa, known as DJ Skazi, said the event had mixed emotions: sadness for lost friends and joy for bringing electronic music back to dead ravers.

“I think each of these people was celebrating life and wanted us to celebrate it for them with music,” said the DJ.

According to the latest figures from the Israeli authorities, 364 people were killed at the Supernova festival in southern Israel when Hamas terrorists executed them in cold blood, the largest massacre in Israel’s modern history.

Dramatic footage emerged on social media showing Hamas fighters also hunting survivors of the massacre, stopping their cars on the road in what many believed to be Israeli forces.

Another 40 people were taken hostage by Hamas and taken to the Gaza Strip, although it is not yet clear how many of them have been released as part of the Qatar-brokered truce.
