
A fire broke out at the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant in Russia, which is under sanctions by Ukraine and the United States as a manufacturer of engines for military equipment, reports the Moscow Times and Ukrainian Pravda.
Russian Telegram channel Baza reported that witnesses said they heard an explosion before the fire broke out and saw large flames and smoke.

Another Russian Telegram channel, Mash, reported that a transformer exploded, which may cause problems with electricity supply in Cheleabinsk.
There is no information about the victims.
The Ministry of Emergencies of Russia reported that the fire at the plant was extinguished.
“The transformer caught fire, the fire spread over an area of 40 square meters,” the agency said.
