The warning strike will last from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

“For years we have been asking for our complaints to be heard. No Romanian government has treated the Ministry of Labor and Social Solidarity as important as it is, a ministry that has a direct relationship with the people and has a strong social impact. Our efforts were constantly minimized and ignored. In all our actions, we thought, first of all, not to affect the beneficiaries. This time it cannot be done! Political class, answer us and society, why are we here?!”, – appealed representatives of the Federation of Trade Unions from the Ministry of Labor.

Trade unions demand equal salaries for employees of other administrative institutions (NAF, health care, APIA).

“For colleagues from the same professional family, regulatory acts aimed at supplementing their incomes have been defined and adopted. We strongly urge you to take immediate action against us, the employees of the institutions of the Ministry of Labor and Social Solidarity. We demand respect and fair treatment of governors and decision makers. There is an urgent need to immediately address this disparity and ensure remuneration commensurate with our contribution to society,” they said.

Another request concerns optimal working conditions – a healthy and safe working environment, accompanied by the allocation of appropriate resources for carrying out activities in normal conditions, solving the problem of staff shortages.

“Blocking of filling positions, decisions to cancel vacant positions have led to overloading of existing staff in institutions, which are forced to cope with activities that go far beyond the distribution of activities in the usual work schedule of 8 people. hours,” said the trade unions.

They also demanded the payment of overtime hours, the provision of job stability for the employees of the Ministry of Labor and Social Solidarity, together with an analysis aimed at ensuring the correct sizing so that activities are carried out in normal working conditions, the provision of computer applications to support the activities, applications that meet all requirements of legislation in the field of activity, applications with a high response time, software compatible with reliable equipment, adaptation of regulations to the needs of current realities regarding the status of a labor inspector/ social inspector.

“All these demands, as well as a significant decrease in purchasing power due to the general increase in prices and the level of inflation, have caused strong dissatisfaction among our members,” the unions said.

If they do not receive a positive response to their demands, the trade unions have announced a general strike from November 27.
