The president of the Calaras County Council, Vasyl Iliuce, who is also the leader of the PSD county organization, was acquitted by the Bucharest Court in the case in which he was referred to the DNA Court for abuse of office and blackmail.
According to the court’s decision, which is not final, the judges acquitted Vasile Iliuce, because “the act was not prescribed by the criminal law or was not committed with the guilt prescribed by the law”, writes Agerpres.
In 2021, DNA took Vasile Iluce to court, alleging that between March and July 2019, he violated his legal obligations by restricting the right to work in the case of 10 CJ Călăraşi employees.
Investigators say that Iliuce would not have approved the payment of salary rights to the workers concerned, given that the magistrates of the Calarasi Court ordered the suspension of two decisions of the District Council, after which 10 people were dismissed from public positions. conducted
“During the same period and in the same context, the accused would have signed two documents which he knew were falsified and which knowingly did not insert the periods worked by the injured persons in the above manner. Due to these actions, damages would have been caused to the employees in question for a total amount of 134,203 lei, quantified in non-payment of wage rights,” DNA explains.
At the same time, DNA shows that on December 20, 2019, Vasile Iliuce would have used coercion against the prosecutor to prevent him from ordering him to be sent to court in a criminal case in which he was an accused.
