Hong Kong Disneyland’s new area brings to life the fictional kingdom of Arendelle on Lantau Island. Features such as North Mountain, Elsa’s Ice Palace, Snowflake Ice Fountain and Clock Tower are the main attractions of the area.

The world of Frozen includes two more attractions that will delight fans of the Disney film:

  • Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs is a high-speed roller coaster that takes visitors past Arendelle Castle;
  • Frozen Ever After is a boat ride with Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Marshmallow, Sven the reindeer, Olaf and Pebby the troll. During the ride, the heroes sing famous songs from the franchise, such as “Do you want to build a snowman?”, “Let it go”, “For the first time in forever”.

The architecture and design elements of the “ice park” are inspired by Norway, the source of inspiration for the films. Disney engineers spent more than three years working on the concept and design of Frozen.

Elsa, Anna and Kristoff will walk among the participants and talk to them. Michael Moriarty, CEO of Hong Kong Disneyland, called Frozen Heart “the most exciting attraction he’s ever created,” according to CNN.

The decision to build World of Frozen in Hong Kong was supported by the natural conditions of Lantau Island, as well as the regional interest in animated films.

“I think when you look at the wonderful space that we have, with our ability to create mountains that blend with the Lantau Mountains and the landscape, creating a special and unique environment, I think it was an easy decision that Hong Kong should be the first , – said Michael Moriarty at the opening, reports CNN.

At night, the Frozen World glows with Elsa’s “Ice Magic,” while the Ice Palace, Arendelle Castle, and the fountain glow a “frozen” blue.

A ticket to Hong Kong Disneyland includes access to Frozen, but organizers have unveiled a series of four new themed ticket designs featuring Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf.

Will there be a Frozen 3?

Disney CEO Bob Iger said in an interview Thursday that “Frozen 3 is in the works, and there could be a Frozen 4.”

“I don’t have much to say about these movies right now, but Jennifer Lee, who created Frozen and Frozen 2, is hard at work with her Disney Animation team on not one, but two stories,” says a company executive in an interview with the show Good Morning America, which is quoted by News.ro.

The Frozen movies are among the most successful in Disney history.

The franchise debuted with the first film in 2013, followed by Frozen 2 six years apart.

The first film, Frozen, won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film in 2014.
