Border police announced on Monday that work on the Friendship Bridge in Bulgaria has begun and traffic is moving on one alternative lane.

“Starting from 09.50, repair work is being carried out on the Bulgarian side of the Druzhba Bridge. Traffic is moving in one lane at a time,” the border police said on Monday, according to News.ro.

During November 20-23, the traffic on the bridge between Ruse and Giurgiu was temporarily restructured in connection with emergency restoration works on deformation seams.

Repair work is carried out during the day.

“We recommend that drivers of vehicles use other checkpoints on the border with Bulgaria, and also familiarize themselves with the Traffic online application available on the border police website. This application represents the average waiting time at the automobile checkpoints for certain time intervals,” the border police said.
