After an eight-year hiatus, Romania is entering the European Football Championship, and the qualification will be rewarded by UEFA with a significant amount: approximately 10 million euros.
Rezvan Burleanu, president of the FRF, would receive a prize of around 100,000 euros
Andrii Vochin, adviser to Rezvan Burleanu, explained to Orange Sport how much money the FRF will collect and how it will be divided.
We are talking about 10 million euros, which UEFA will deposit in the accounts of the FRF.
“Now I think they get around 10 million euros for qualification, probably the same algorithm as Euro 2016 will be applied. The same system was kept for the players, as far as I know, the same for the coaches.
With your permission, the Federation employees will be the last on the list, just like last time” – Andrii Vochinaccording to the cited source.
According to playsport, 8% will be allocated to administrative staff. We are talking about the 800,000 euros that Rezvan Burleanu and other employees of Casa Fotbalului will receive.
The President of the FRF will receive a bonus of approximately 100,000 euros, Radu ViĊĦan (General Secretary of the FRF) will receive approximately 70,000 euros, and the rest will be divided between department heads and subordinates.
After selection for the EURO, the core players of the national team will receive up to 180 thousand euros in bonuses.
Amounts will vary based on minutes played and player participation.
This will be an amount of approximately 4 million euros, which will go to all the players who took part in the Euro 2024 qualifiers and the technical staff.
According to gsp.ro, the players with the most minutes in this campaign are Andriy Burke (783 minutes), Radu Dragushyn (775) and Nicolae Stanciu (743).
From the money it will receive from UEFA, the FRF will also cover its expenses for the trips of the national team, as well as for the organization of home matches. In total, somewhere around two million euros.
