After an eight-year break, the Romanian football team qualified for the European Championship. “Romania forgot to be happy,” coach Edi Iordenescu said in the locker room after the 2-1 victory over Israel.

Footage of the tricolor team rejoicing in the locker room went viral on the internet.

Romania is currently in the second prize pool and needs a favorable result against Switzerland (draw or win) to stay there.

To stay in second place, Romania must not lose to Switzerland in their last match of the previous tournament to finish the group in first place. The match with the Swiss will take place on Tuesday, November 21, from 21:45 (LiveBLOG on HotNews.ro).

If this happens, there are two possible group options for the tricolors. We’re talking hellish, but also one that could be, at least at first glance, affordable.

So, in the category of infernal groups, we have the following option: FranceRomania, Netherlands and Switzerland.

At the opposite pole, with a bit of luck, we could find ourselves in a group that looks like this: AustriaRomania, Slovenia and Slovakia.
