Several districts of the city of Constanta were left without water due to power outages, representatives of the Water Administration of the Autonomous District reported. In addition, reactor 1 at the Cernavoda power plant was shut down due to strong winds, writes News.ro.

“Nearly 19:30 in the Constanţa North complex, numerous voltage fluctuations were observed, which led to a complete drop. Without electricity, pumps at station level can no longer supply water to consumers in the following areas: Tomis Nord, Tomis III, Boema and Tic-Tac districts, Dacia, Sat-Vacanța, Stațiunea Mamaia, Mamaia Nord, Mamaia Sat, Deposit 10, Tabăra Năvodari and Zona Industrială Midia”, RAJA representatives informed.

They added that there are still numerous voltage fluctuations at the level of the Palas pumping station, and for this reason consumers in the following areas are still suffering from water shortages: CET, Viile Noi, Medea, Palas, Industrială, Brătianu, Km 4-5 , Km 5, Gate 6, Slaughterhouse, Station, House of Culture, Composers, Koichu, Ring I, Ring II, May 1 and Warehouses – Halta Traian.

At this time, it is raining heavily and the wind is blowing strongly in the city of Constanta.

In fact, the municipality of Constanţa and four other municipalities are under a red code for rain, and the entire county of Constanţa is under an orange code for wind until Sunday morning.
