The USR parliamentarian said that in this case the National Commission for Historical Monuments, heritage experts, and the Order of Architects should speak, writes News.ro. At the same time, he believes that the directorate of culture of Iaşi, which gave the green light to the start of the project, is responsible.

Marius Bodea wrote on Facebook on Saturday night that the proportions of the original building no longer exist after Ion Creange’s bojdeuc restoration, while “the whole surrounding ensemble, a terrible kitsch, grossly decontextualizes the space where the great writer spent years of his life.” life”.

“Boideuka today is shown mutilated, rehabilitated as if according to the standards dictated by the construction of villas of modern local barons. If the final reception is already done, if the architectural design is approved and the execution is correct (today’s monster), then everything has evidence of fraud. History has been deceived, and every rule of inheritance has been mocked,” said the UDR parliamentarian.

Senator Marius Bodea said an investigation was needed to establish an approval scheme for the rehabilitation of bailiff Ion Creange.

“This is equivalent to covering all the houses of the village museum with insulation and plasterboard. It seems that everything has become a sham in Romania. We have the National Commission on Historical Monuments, which must speak. I ask heritage experts, the order of architects to come forward and express their point of view. The Ministry of Culture is also directly responsible through the Iaşi District Culture Authority, without whose approval the works could not have started,” added Senator Marius Bodea.

Personalities and readers have recently expressed their surprise at how Bojdeuca lui Creangă looks now: with a wardrobe, sockets, laminate and “like a boarding house of two daisies”. The Iași County Council, on the other hand, claimed that the restoration was carried out with appropriate means to “stop the process of destruction and preserve the cultural significance of the first literary museum in Romania”.
