A man grabbed climate activist Greta Thunberg’s microphone and managed to say a few words criticizing her pro-Palestinian activism at a climate rally in Amsterdam on Sunday, The Times of Israel reported, citing news.ro.

Thunberg has drawn widespread criticism for numerous posts in which she expressed solidarity with Gaza but barely mentioned the brutal attack by Hamas on October 7, when 1,200 people were killed in southern Israel and at least 240 were abducted and taken to Gaza.

Addressing tens of thousands of people, Thunberg invited a Palestinian woman and an Afghan woman to the stage, saying: “As a climate justice movement, we must listen to the voices of those who are oppressed and those who fight for freedom and justice. Otherwise, there can be no climate justice without international solidarity.”

Then a man came on stage, snatched the microphone from her hands and said: “I came here for a climate demonstration, not a political vision.”

Several people immediately intervened to remove him from the stage as the crowd booed.

Thunberg told him to “calm down” before chanting: “There is no climate justice in occupied territory.”
