A man from Dumbravesti, Prahova, whose home was visited by a police team on Sunday night on the grounds that he had beaten his wife, became defiant when police attacked them with an axe. One of the police officers arrived at the hospital after being hit in the head with an ax and also crashing a police car. In the end, the aggressor was handcuffed and taken to the hospital, writes News.ro.

The investigations carried out by the police in this case began after the representatives of the medical unit informed the police on Sunday evening, around 19:30, that a 53-year-old woman from the commune of Dumbravesti went to the emergency room with several injuries, the woman says that she is injured after being beaten by her husband.

“The police went to the home of the suspect, a 53-year-old man, and according to the first checks, it turned out that he had a quarrel with his 53-year-old wife, to whom he went. to the medical unit with several injuries, probably as a result of an argument. During the intervention, the 53-year-old man became unapproachable, did not cooperate with the police, and at one point allegedly went outside, trying to hit them with a sharp object. In the future, he destroyed a special police car with this object, while hitting one of the policemen with the same object in the head area, which required the provision of specialized medical assistance,” the State Department of the Republic of Ukraine reported. police of Prahova district.

Judicial sources told News.ro that the aggressor attacked the police officers with an axe. In the end, the police immobilized the man, who was taken to a medical facility for investigation.

During the investigation, depending on the conclusions of the psychiatrist, measures of responsibility will be taken against him. “In the case, the police are continuing the investigation as part of the criminal proceedings opened on the basis of crimes of insult, domestic violence and destruction,” the Prahova police report.
