The 18-time US champions won 3-0 in Switzerland in a Group A clash.

Danielle Collins beat Celine Naef (18), 7-6(4), 6-1, and Sofia Kenin outlasted Viktoria Golubic, 6-3, 6-7(1), 7-5, after a two-hour, 54-minute marathon match.

Finally, the USA also won the doubles match, which was simply a record.
