Four youths were arrested in Arad after an attack on a house in the town of Sofronea using improvised explosives (Molotov cocktails) following a misunderstanding over a sold and broken scooter.

The suspects are aged between 18 and 22 and are being investigated for vandalism and attempted murder.

According to the statement sent by the prosecutor’s office at the Arad court, four young men attacked their victim at night.

“After breaking the window of the house with stones, they threw several improvised explosive devices (Molotov cocktails) inside the bedroom and on the facade of the house. In the case, a proposal was made to choose a preventive measure against the accused, a proposal that was accepted by the judge on rights and freedoms of the Arad court, appointing them to preventive arrest for a period of 30 days,” they sent. prosecutors.

An investigation was initially conducted into the destruction of the four, but the investigation was later expanded to attempted murder, and the case was referred to the prosecutor’s office at the Arad court.

Sources from among the investigators reported on Friday that the victim of the attack sold a scooter worth 4,500 euros to one of the aggressors.

After the vehicle broke down, he wanted to return it, but because he did not get along with the seller, he wanted to take revenge.
