Merginianu noted that most often these girls either do not know that they are pregnant or hide their pregnancy.

There are mothers who do not investigate their pregnancy because they do not know that they are pregnant, or they hide the pregnancy from their parents. Of course, they can come with infections or pregnancy complications, or with rupture of the membranes due to infections, and then they end in premature birth,” said the doctor.

Cătălina Mărgineanu recalled the case of a 15-year-old patient who came to give birth in the maternity hospital and who had two children at home.

“I remember a case when I was on duty in Buzau and I was asked to see a 15-year-old pregnant woman, second trimester, and I ask: And the patient answers: . Of course, it was kind of shocking when he was 15 years old and had two children at home,” added Merginianu.
